Hello, I am Okeke from Nigeria. I am happy to share my experience getting Phacoemulsification cataract surgery in India. I had a great experience dealing with Tour2India4Health Group. I was having vision problem and as days were passing the problem was becoming unbearable and even after many medication there was no relief. My doctor told me that I need a Phacoemulsification cataract surgery for the treatment of cataract. Doctor told me to contact Tour2India4HealthGroup for getting Phacoemulsification cataract surgery done in India. I visited Tour2India4Health Group website and sent my query. Thereafter they called me back and informed me everything that was related to the surgery. Tour2India4Health Group made all the arrangements for me to visit Pune for Phacoemulsification cataract surgery.
In Phacoemulsification cataract surgery, the surgeon makes a very small incision -- about 1/8th of an inch -- in the white of the eye near the outer edge of the cornea. A small ultrasonic probe is inserted through this opening and, oscillating at 40,000 cycles per minute, is used to break up (emulsify) the cataract into tiny pieces. The emulsified material is simultaneously suctioned from the eye by the open tip of the same instrument. The hard central core of the cataract (the nucleus) is removed first, followed by extraction of the softer, peripheral cortical fibers that make up the remainder of the lens. The front (anterior) section of the lens capsule is removed along with the fragments of the natural lens. The back (posterior) portion of the capsule is left in place to hold and maintain the correct position for the implanted intraocular lenses.
After removal of the cataract, a prescription intraocular lens, or IOL, is permanently implanted in the lens capsule to replace the natural crystalline lens of the eye that was removed during the surgery. This lens is rolled inside a tiny hollow tube and inserted through the same incision that was used to remove the cataract. The folded lens is pushed out of the tube by a tiny plunger and, as it unfolds, is positioned by the surgeon in the center of the lens capsule. The new lens is held in place by microscopic, spring-like wires that are attached to the implant. The tiny incision made during Phacoemulsification surgery generally requires no stitches and heals itself in a few days. Antibiotic and steroid eye drops was given to diminish inflammation, to prevent infection, and to keep the eye moistened for several days following surgery.
Phacoemulsification cataract surgery is one of the most effective surgical procedures performed in India today, and a large percentage of patients are much satisfied with the results. Immediately following my Phacoemulsification cataract surgery, I was monitored in an outpatient recovery area. I was advised to rest for at least 24 hours, until I returned to the surgeon's office for follow-up. Only light meals were recommended on the day of surgery. I still felt drowsy and experienced some eye pain or discomfort. Doctor prescribed me some medicines for pain relief.
I am very much thankful to Tour2India4Health Group for their support and incomparable services they provided for Phacoemulsification cataract surgery in India and made my medical tour successful. The aftercare has been outstanding with medication readily available when needed. The total experience that I had from Tour2India4Health Group had been outstanding and I would have no hesitation in advising anyone else to do it. I am so pleased with the end result of Phacoemulsification cataract surgery procedure.
Best of Luck!
