RESEARCH AND PAPERS:

Submitted thesis for Nagpur University whilst doing Master of Orthopaaedics, entitled "Evaluation of Treatment of Trochanteric Fractures by Internal Fixation and Mobile Skeletal Traction."

The conclusion of the thesis was that in circumstances prevailing in that the hospital functional end results were excellent in 65% of cases by traction as compared to 36% treated by internal fixation in unstable fractures.

Conducted clinical trials of "Tromaril" an antiprostaglandin anti- inflamatory research product by "UNICHEM INDIA" on orthopaedic patients and was found to have anti-inflammatory activity comparable to Brufen but with less gastric irritation, at Medical College Hospital,Nagpur.

Demonstrated Cemented hip replacement at the local workshop on THR in Nov 1996 by Hardinge approach & was the member of the faculty. Presented a paper at All India Orthopaedic Conference in Nov 1997 at Kochi, India on early results of first 50 cases of Joint Replacements in Nursing home setup. Was invited to speak on Joint Replacements to Yavatmal, India in Jan 1998 while participating in CME programme organised by IMA Yavatmal for General practitioner. Was invited as faculty member to speak on Total Hip & Knee Replacements in inflammatory arthritis to Chandrapur, India in March 1999 while participating in Symposium on Rheumatology.
