Dr Sudeshna Ray MD MRCOG is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Jaslok Hospital & Resaearch Centre Mumbai. She hails from Kolkata. After doing her schooling at Carmel Convent High School she studied her MBBS at Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital under Kolkata University. She completed her MBBS in 1996.

She qualified the MCI Entrance Examination for Post Graduation and subsequently completed her MD in Gynaecology & Obstetrics from the University College of Medicine, under Kolkata University in 2001. She was conferred the MRCOG from Royal College, London in May 2007. She also completed the Diploma in Gynaecological Endoscopy from BEAMS, Mumbai. She has also participated in no of workshops and training courses in the UK to hone her skills. She participates in the workshops and conferences to update herself.

Dr. Ray has been associated with various reputed hospitals, institutions and organisations in India and abroad over the past 10 years. She has accumulated experience and skill from multicultural environment which helps her in managing and taking care of people in need. Dr Ray is the member of Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, London. She is also a member of the Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, Mumbai and member of Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR).

Dr Ray has been associated with various social and professional activities which are driven by social responsibilities. She takes lectures on puberty, needs of adolescent gynaecology for the students of appropriate age group and also for parents given the growing need of awareness in the present day circumstances. She has also been part of the campaign on needs of contraception amongst the sex workers in Mumbai. She has also participated in the Church-run charitable clinic for the economically needy population.

She conducts workshops for various corporates for working women of different age groups depending on their needs and advises them on the increasing gynaecological challenges.
