His special areas of interest include Neonatal airway reconstruction, Non Cardiac thoracic surgery including assisted thorascoscopic surgery, complex paediatric Urological problems and paediatric vascular surgery.

Achievements:

Dr. C. Ramachandra joined the department on May 1997 as a Senior Consultant. He received his training in Paediatric surgery at CMC, Vellore (1985-1988). He then joined St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore as a teaching faculty in Paediatric surgery in 1988. he continued there for over 6 years teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. He obtained further training in Paediatric Surgery at Children’s Hospital LOS ANGELES, CA, USA where he spent over 2 ½ years as a post doctoral fellow of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. He received advanced training in Paediatric Surgical Oncology, Trauma & Neonatal surgery as also paediatric Renal Transplantation.
