Kenya is a country that is located in East Africa. Home to about 48.46 million people, Kenya has a hot climate due to its location. It lies directly on the equator, and is surrounded by Somalia to the east, Ethiopia to the north, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest. The country's official languages are Swahili and English. It does not have an official religion, although Christianity is highly prevalent and practiced throughout the country. Its capital, the city of Nairobi, the largest city in the country, is home to 3.5 million people.

Kenya healthcare Kenya is the major safari country in Africa, and Nairobi is the safari capital of the world. Kenya has a system of well-managed nature reserves across the country, where lions, rhinos, elephants and zebras, antelopes and birds can be seen in the wild. Kenya is blessed when it comes to geographical diversity. It possesses a wide range of topographical features - from the low plains found along the coast, bisected by the Great Rift Valley, to the fertile plateau in the west. The Great Rift Valley is home to a number of lakes, arid and rugged landscapes, and volcanic landforms with areas of active hot springs and geothermal activity. The terrain includes tropical forests, desert savannas, mountains, and coastal areas. The highland areas of Central Kenya provide fertile ground for farming, making Kenya one of the most agriculturally productive countries in Africa. The north of Kenya, however, is largely desert land scattered with thorn bush. This contrasts greatly with the Kenyan coast, which features many beaches, coral reefs, creeks and coral islands.

However, the scenario changes when it comes to healthcare facilities in Kenya. For the past 20 years, Kenya has been tackling with a major healthcare crisis. The Kenyan government has been striving to bring betterment in the health system of Kenya. Access to good quality medical care and amenities is inadequate and unequally distributed across the country, and is posing a major obstacle in the way of development. Public healthcare in Kenya is generally of low quality due to widespread corruption, rampant poverty and limited resources.

Thanks to the fast-paced ascend in medical tourism, a large number of Kenyans are travelling to India for various medical and surgical procedures. The main attractive facet that is drawing the attention of these patients is the availability of reasonably priced treatments. This is helping these patients in saving a lot of money compared to what they have to shell out in their own country. Majority of the treatments in India cost about as low as one tenth of what they cost in Kenya.

India health tourism“India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.” Mark Twain said this decades ago and India truly fits the description. India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, and proudly homes a kaleidoscopic variety and rich cultural heritage. It has achieved all-round socio-economic progress over the years. As the 7th largest country in the world, India stands apart from the remaining Asia, hemmed in by mountains and the sea, which give the country a distinct geographical beauty. India has a different aspect of its personality to proffer to each of the travellers visiting the country.

Located in South Asia, bordered by Pakistan, Nepal, China and Bangladesh, India is South Asia's largest, sovereign, democratic republic. Teeming with a billion plus people, India will astound you with its diversity; be it the snow wrapped peaks of the north, the sunny beaches down south, to thick forests, beautiful temples, vibrant festivals and to cities that have become the IT hubs of the country. Further, owing to its powerful diversity, India makes an interesting tourist destination and mouth watering cuisine that would certainly make people to come back for more. Spiritually, India is a secular country where many religions were born and are living and flourishing together.

  Mr. Philemon - Kenya
Pancreatic Cancer Surgery in India

One of the key areas where Tour2india4health Consultants has been recognized widely in Kenya is the concept of Health Tours. A Health Tour would typically include a full body comprehensive health check up and tours to some of the popular destinations.

Full body checkups would be followed by detailed evaluation of the reports and counselling of the patient based on the reports. After this, full day spas are organized, followed by a tour around the city for about 2-3 days, to all the major attractions. Such Health Tours are very beneficial for the patients to rejuvenate them and to keep them away from the tension and worries concerning their health. These tours are best done in groups and corporate/brands have been buying packages for their executives.

Let's understand the process of coming to India for successful and economically priced medical treatment. The process begins with the patient sending his/her query and medical history through email or by discussing the medical condition over a phone call with a healthcare manager. The reports and the case are meticulously studied by our senior surgeons/physicians for a detailed medical opinion, which is then conveyed to the patient so that the patient can understand and plan the next steps accordingly. As a mandatory protocol, all reports are studied and reviewed by not less than three experts for unbiased comprehensive medical opinions. After this, the patient can travel to India on pre-confirmed dates. Additionally, we assist our patients from Kenya in getting medical visa approval plus we also arrange all logistic and travel related requirements. More details can be read at the Step by Step Guide for better understanding of the process.

We have been welcoming and treating an average of 300 patients every year from Kenya and the numbers have been continually rising every year. Our fellow brothers and prospective patients would like to see the reviews of previously operated and cured patients. They can do so by clicking on the following links -
