• Cosmetic chin surgery is also called men toplasty. Patients who have sustained trauma to the face and need reconstructive surgery or for those who would like an augmentation, or for those who are having rhinoplasty, chin surgery can help relieve distortions of the face. Especially in the case of rhinoplasty, chin augmentation may necessary to make the face proportional after surgery. The surgery consists of placing the implant on the chin and either screwing in on or sewing with sutures. The process takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.

• A facelift is called rhytidectomy. This is the process of having incisions made above the hairline where the temples are and down to the ear, traveling behind the earlobe and all the way down to the back of the scalp. Some doctors prefer to make a small incision at the bottom of the chin. Facelift surgery takes a few hours, in particular if other procedures are being done in conjunction with it. Facelifts tighten muscles, remove fat, and re vitalizes the face by reworking the skin.

• Cosmetic ear surgery is called otoplasty. This is the process by which ears are surgically made smaller or are enabled to lay closer to the head. Cosmetic ear surgery is usually performed on children between the ages of 5 and 15.

• Dental cosmetic surgery involves procedures to make a person's teeth straighter, whiter and in general healthier. There are also procedures that correct smiles that appear to have too much gum showing, such as gingivectomy, flap surgery and a technique involving lasers. Amalgam fillings are available to replace metal fillings, and for persons with chips in their teeth, bonding and tooth reshaping are available. Length of time for these procedures and cost vary depending on the severity of the problem.
